Sir Edmund Hillary

Our topic study this term has been about New Zealand explorers and adventurers. We have studied Jean Batten, Sir Edmund Hillary and Sir Peter Blake. We listened to their stories and talked about how they showed resilience and perseverance. 

Bubbles

We have been reading a book called 'Bubble Trouble" for our class shared reading. 

We imagined we got caught in the crocodile's bubble and floated up into the sky. We wondered what we would see.

Blended Learning during Writing

The children in Room One are beginning to use their class iPads as a tool to support their learning. Today they chose a fish picture to talk and write about. Having the picture they chose on an iPad meant the children were able to zoom in closely to look at specific details, discuss those details with their peers and then have the picture with them as a reference for their writing.
